Denny
has an
interesting way of meshing fiction with news stories, maybe because
he has so much experience writing topical pieces for small press
papers and kidsī books. Pot-Club Patois (from the Loompanics
Unlimited catalogue) deals with a touchy issue in a three-dimensional
way. The story argues for medical marijuana but in its subtext illustrates
the case against it, as we see the main character abuse the system
to get high.
